Today, I'm going to research about FC Barcelona's youth academies. Many people state, that Barcelona is the best football team in the world only because they most valued players are started training in the team as children, and the club raised them to be a professional. They don't really believe in 'buying the best players', because those will never have the ability to fit in the team perfectly. Except for Alexis Sánchez :D. This is not the only thing why they are the best, I think, but it has a key role.
Barca has many academies around the world, but the most famous one is La Masia, the one in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. It holds more than 300 youth players. They train next to Camp Nou, in the Les Corts district of Barcelona. In 2010, La Masia achieved a record breaking honour becoming the first youth academy to have trained all three finalists for the Ballon d'Or in one same year, with Andrés Iniesta, Lionel Messi and Xavi Hernández. This is proof of the quality of the youth academy of FC Barcelona.
