The Crest Of Barcelona

The story of the crest of Barcelona leads back to the beginning of the city. The club's original crest was a quartered diamond-shaped crest topped by the Crown of Aragon and the bat of King James, and surrounded by two branches, one of a laurel the and the other of a palm.
Then in 1910 came a major change of the crest. The crest was design by Carles Comamala, and it slightly differs from the crest of today's Barcelona. It's a bowl-shaped design, in which the two upper quarters maintain the St George cross and the red and yellow bars of the original, which are the most representative symbols of Barcelona and Catalonia. The club initials, FCB,  appear on a strip across the center, and below are the Barca colors and a ball.
The present crest is based on an adaptation made by designer Claret Serrahima, in 2002, in which the lines are a little more stylized, the dots between the letters have been taken away, the name has been made smaller, and there are fewer pointed edges. It's easy to reproduce in all kind of format.

The Jersey of Barcelona

Today I researched about the Jersey of Barcelona. Since the founding of the club, Barcelona has never worn corporate advertisements on their shirt. In 2006, Barcelona announced a five year agreement with UNICEF, which includes wearing the Unicef logo on their shirt. In 2011, Barcelona signed a 150 euro contract with Qatar Foundations. Since then, the Qatar Foundations logo is on the front of the shirt, and the UNICEF logo is at the back.
The colors of Barcelona is blue and red. This was always and will be always the first set of colors for Barcelona.

Lionel Messi - Early Life and Career

Many people consider Lionel Messi as the best football player ever lived. He's go 3 Ballon d'Or-s and he basically set every record playing in Barcelona. And he's only 24.
Lionel Messi was born in 24 June 1987. He was born in Rosario, Santa Fe Province, to parents Jorge Horacio Messi, Celia Maria Cuccittini, a part-time cleaner. His origins go back to Italy. In 1883, Angelo Messi immigrated to Argentina. He has two older brothers, Rodrigo and Matias, and a sister, Maria Sol.
When he turned 5, Messi joined the local team Grandoli. After that in 1995, he switched to Newell's Old Boys. When he was 11, he was diagnosed with a growth hormone deficiency. Many teams were interested in Messi, but they couldn't afford the 900$ medical bill for his medicines. The sporting coach of Barcelona offered him a contract; it stated that the club will pay the bill, but Messi and his family must move to Barcelona. He signed it, so a week later he and his father moved to Barcelona and Messi enrolled into the club's youth academy.
This is a video of him playing in Newell's Old Boys team.

Messi's records in Barcelona

Messi's first appearance in La Liga was against RCD Espanyol on 16 October 2004. With that he became the third youngest player of Barcelona to debut in La Liga with the age of 17 years 114 days. When he scored against Albacete Balompie, on 1 May 2005 when he was 17 years 10 months and seven days old, he became the youngest player in the La Liga to score, until it was broken by Bojan Krikic who scored from Messi's assist.
In the 2011-2012 Lionel Messi broke 5 records! First, he took over Cesar Rodriguez scoring the most goals in the history of Barcelona ever! He has 234 goals now, and he's still 24! "Modest" Messi claims that all this happened because of Guardiola. It's actually quite true. After Guardiola arrived in Barcelona, Messi's goals unbelievably increased. He scored 72 goals all together in every competition setting a new record! He took over Gerd Muller's record by a lot! He scored 65 goals. Messi's also the first one to reach more than 70 goals in a season.

Messi in the national team.

Although Messi speaks not just spanish but also perfect Catalan, which is a mix of french and spanish and claimed to be one of the hardest languages in the world, he does not part of the spanish team, because he kept his Argentinian citizenship. In 2005 he won the Fifa Youth World Cup. A Golden Ball and a Golden Shoe came with it. His first appearance was in the U20 Argentinian team in 2005 against a friendly match with Paraguay. Hs full international debut was against Hungary, when he was 18 on 17 August 2005. He was switched on in the 63rd minute but sent off in the 65th minute. On his next match he won a crucial penalty for Argentina. After that match Pekerman described him as a "jewel of Argentina"!
Nowadays, Messi nearly won every possible title with Barcelona, which was possible. However, his achievements with the national team are not presented. He didn't won a single cup with the team yet.
Few people consider him as not the best football player ever lived. One of the reasons is that he did not achieve anything with the national team.

Rivaldo

His real name is Rivaldo Vitor Borba Ferreira. He was born on 19 April 1972. He was one of Barcelona's best football players of all time.
In 1998, in his first season in La Liga, he won both the title and the Copa del Rey. In 1999 he won another La Liga title with Barcelona and once again was the second highest scorer of the year with 24 goals. Individually, he won Fifa World Player of the Year and European Player of the Year. Next season a new coach, Louis Van Gaal, whom wanted him on the left wing, not as a playmaker. In that season, the number of his goals unbelievably decreased, and his morale dropped. After Van Gaal was fired, he went back to the playmaker's position. Once again, he was the second highest scorer in the La Liga. In the last game he scored his famous bicycle kick goal against Valencia where Barcelona won for 3-2.
