Messi's records in Barcelona

Messi's first appearance in La Liga was against RCD Espanyol on 16 October 2004. With that he became the third youngest player of Barcelona to debut in La Liga with the age of 17 years 114 days. When he scored against Albacete Balompie, on 1 May 2005 when he was 17 years 10 months and seven days old, he became the youngest player in the La Liga to score, until it was broken by Bojan Krikic who scored from Messi's assist.
In the 2011-2012 Lionel Messi broke 5 records! First, he took over Cesar Rodriguez scoring the most goals in the history of Barcelona ever! He has 234 goals now, and he's still 24! "Modest" Messi claims that all this happened because of Guardiola. It's actually quite true. After Guardiola arrived in Barcelona, Messi's goals unbelievably increased. He scored 72 goals all together in every competition setting a new record! He took over Gerd Muller's record by a lot! He scored 65 goals. Messi's also the first one to reach more than 70 goals in a season.
